My Cowboy Kids

Costumes can help bring to life a time period you are studying in history. Back when we studied the Wild West, I took these pictures of my kids. Take a look at how much fun we had!

Very cute pics! Did Alan do these? They look professional!

I myself took these pictures, and it was a complete fluke! We found a stage in the middle of a forest about 10 minutes from my house, and the kids wanted to come back as cowboys the next day. So the next day they played around on the rocks, and I never intended to get portraits. That first picture was so spectacular, I knew Alan would be proud of me, because my pictures aren’t always good. In that top picture, everyone was standing, and Rachel was crossing out Bryan, so I told Rachel to squat down. I snapped the picture just as Nathaniel decided to squat, too. It was not a pose done on purpose. That’s why it looks so natural, because it’s actually an action shot! I’m super pleased, as you can tell.
