Sickness Helps Fitness Goals

My family got the stomach flu  a few weeks ago, and after barfing twice, I said to my husband, “Well, look at it this way: maybe I’ll lose weight, since I can’t keep anything down.” Even though I looked green, I broke into song, “Always look on the bright side of life…”

If you’re trying to lose weight, here’s the game plan: Whenever you’re sick, drink lots of liquids, but don’t necessarily eat a lot when you don’t feel like eating. Cash in on the upside of sickness. I lost two pounds after that stomach flu. Now I have a head cold, and I can’t exercise, but I’m paying attention to what I’m eating. I’m losing weight!

So sorry about being sick, but I know just what you mean about losing weight! The definite upside to not feeling well.

Sorry about the cheesecake pictures on my blog. I’m certain I’ll gain 10 lbs trying to replicate the cheesecake of my own.

Stomach Flu is the worst! I have a cough/sinus thing going on now and I have been eating less. It’s funny how you don’t feel like eating when you feel sick.

Ugh! That is not a fun way to lose weight.

LOL, Sherry! No, it’s not fun, but I’m trying to stay positive. It helps that I’m achieving my goals!
