The Wonderful World of Sand and Dirt

My boys (and my rowdy girl) have often played in the dirt outside, creating bridges and tunnels and waterfalls and whirlpools, all fueled by the garden hose. The pressure of the water was adjusted according to whether they wanted a small rivulet or a raging torrent that knocked out bridges and splashed water off the rocks at the bottom of their waterfalls. They found a tube of PVC pipe which they buried under the dirt. For some reason, this created a whirlpool. This is just one activity from this 80-minute audio that includes a 141-page PDF slide show. Just wait until you see all the fun, wonderful, crazy ideas that you can do with sand, dirt, and mud!
